These decks cover the first 100 episodes, in the two seasons the official Pokémon TV YouTube channel splits them into: Season 1 is episodes 1 to 52, and Season 2 is the next 48.
Pokémon is easier to follow in Spanish than most people expect. It was made for a young audience, the dialogue is clear, and almost every episode follows the same shape: a new town, a problem, a battle, and Team Rocket blasting off again. If you watched it as a kid, you already know the story, so your attention can go to the language.
That does not mean it is textbook vocabulary: the narrator, the battles, and Team Rocket's schemes bring in plenty of words a Spanish course rarely gets to. A season deck does not take you from zero: it closes the gap between the Spanish you already know and the words this season actually uses, so you follow the story instead of pausing it.
These are the 2 season decks, 985 words in total, chosen from our analysis of the full dialogue: the words that block the most lines in each season, not a generic frequency list.
Each deck is studied on its own, so you can go season by season: study the deck, watch the episodes, and move on to the next one.
And it costs less than buying the 2 season decks separately.
The hardest part of learning a language is basic comprehension. Once you can understand enough to have fun, you'll never want to stop.

Seasons 1-2, each as its own vocabulary deck:
Season 1: 507 words.
Season 2: 478 words.
For learners who already know the 1000 most common Spanish words and the essential grammar, and want to make the jump to watching the show in its original language.
No. Go at your own pace. Most people study one season's deck, watch that season, and then move on to the next.
No. You are buying vocabulary study material: the words, the example sentences, the audio, and the cards. You watch the show yourself, on whichever service carries it in your country. Where to watch: Free on the official Pokémon TV YouTube channel, in the playlist "Pokémon: The Beginning - Seasons 1-2", where you can switch the audio track and the subtitles to Spanish in each video's settings. Netflix and Tubi also carry the classic series in the US, Canada, and Australia, and Netflix does in the UK, but each service numbers the seasons its own way and the Spanish audio track depends on your country. Checked October 2026: availability varies by country. To get the most out of it, study the deck and watch the episodes side by side.
Each card teaches the word in the sense the episode uses it: the definition gives that sense first, then the word's other common meanings. The example sentence is short and clear, written for learners so you can understand it on its own. When a line from the episode makes sense outside the scene, we start from it; otherwise we write a fresh everyday sentence. We never copy the dialogue word for word or use the characters' names. The words themselves do come from the season's real dialogue.
We follow the numbering of the official Pokémon TV YouTube channel, which splits the first 100 episodes into two seasons. Season 1 is episodes 1 to 52, from "I Choose You!" to "The Breeding Center Secret". Season 2 is the next 48, from "Princess vs. Princess" to "Bound for Trouble": the end of the Indigo League and the first part of the Orange Islands adventures. Other services count seasons differently, so go by the episode titles.
Latin American. The deck follows the Latin American Spanish dub of the show, the one you get when you switch a Pokémon TV YouTube video to Spanish, and the audio on every card uses a Latin American Spanish voice. The dub was recorded in Mexico, so along the way you pick up everyday Mexican words like chamaco (kid), chaparro (short), and hule (rubber).
No. The names of the creatures, the characters, and the made-up places are no use outside the show, so we left them out. The deck focuses on the real Spanish words in the dialogue.
